Any non-emergency work will be done during the week Monday to Friday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and require work orders.
Recycling and Garbage Pickup
Please place all allowable items in the bins. Large items, electronics, car parts, cardboard etc. are not to be put in the regular garbage. Please dispose of it at a recycling center. **No plastic bags are to be put in the large combined recycling bin.
SMOKE AND OR CARBON MONOXIDE ALARM BATTERY OR UNIT REPLACEMENT
All three levels of the unit must have working smoke alarms. If your alarm is not working properly, you must contact us about it. We will replace any alarm that is not functioning properly. If your alarm begins to beep intermittently, the battery needs to be replaced. You may do this yourself or we will do it for you. If you have a wired-in smoke/carbon monoxide alarm in your basement, it will have different indications for the action needed. If the basement alarm beeps approx. every 30 seconds, we will need to replace the entire unit. If it beeps and a voice indicates the battery backup needs replaced, the alarm is still in operation but needs the battery replaced as soon as possible. In any event, where the alarm sounds continuously due to fire or detection of carbon monoxide, exit the building and call 911. IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO DISCONNECT OR REMOVE THE SMOKE ALARMS.
Winter Reminders
Maintenance Reminders:
Tenants are responsible to maintain their walkway and stairs from their front door to the common walkways or city sidewalk. Please keep it shovelled and ice free over the winter months.
Parking lots, common walkways and city sidewalks will be maintained by the management or contractor. As a reminder, the path that runs behind units 35 – 51 Westmount Rd. E. is a Use at Your Own Risk.
Please feel free to use salt located in the yellow bins throughout the complex for use around your vehicle if needed. Please bring your own small container, leave the scoops in the bins, and close the bin back up tightly after usage.
When the temperature is below -10, salt is not effective, please use a different type of ice melt.
Please keep your patio door area free of snow so you have an additional exit in the event of an emergency. Do not salt the patio door track.
Please keep your gas meter and any gas vents located near ground level clear of any snow.
If you do not have a frost free outside water tap, please ensure you have shut of the tap on the inside of the unit, turn on the tap outside to drain the remaining water out and leave in the on position. This will prevent the line from freezing and a bursting the water pipe. If you need assistance with this, please contact the office.
